Energy Productivity Summits

PROJECT OVERVIEW

 

Momentum² has managed media outreach for the Doubling Energy Productivity Summit (2xEP) hosted by the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP). The most recent two-day Summit in 2017, was supported by the NSW, Victorian and Federal Governments, and was held at the Australian National Maritime Museum from 4th – 5th April. The Summet featured both international and Australian energy experts who spoke about the need to move towards greater energy productivity.

  • Michael Bellestedt, Chief Executive Officer, Minus 40 Pty Ltd

 

  • Renald Gallis, Vice President Ecosystem & Marketing, Thinxtra

 

  • Simon Corbell, Renewable Energy Advocate, Victoria

 

  • Tony Westmore, General Manager, Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP)

Conference sessions covered a wide range of topics including innovation and technology, government and policy, manufacturing, agriculture, renewables and leadership and generated a high-level of attendance over the two days.

Momentum² organised over 30 interviews for
the various conference presenters, developing targeted pitches which covered a range of industries and topics. 

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

 

  • To raise awareness of the need to double Australia’s energy productivity

  • To create discussion at consumer, media and government levels regarding energy productivity and related issues

  • To provide an opportunity to generate media interest and publicity for A2EP and the Doubling Energy Productivity Summit

OUTCOMES

 

Momentum² organised over 30 interviews for the various conference presenters and A2EP representatives which resulted in substantial coverage across a wide range of media outlets, including The Australian, ABC Radio National, Sydney Morning Herald, Fifth Estate, Beyond Zero Emissions, SBS Radio (French, Italian, German and Spanish), Sky TV – Smart Money, ABC NSW Rural Country Hour, ABC Radio Adelaide, Manufacturer’s Monthly, Footprint News and ABC Radio Melbourne.

 

This media outreach translated to a combined total audience of in excess of 23,256,700 across print, online and broadcast.
