VALERIE TAYLOR

Book Launch: Melody the Mermaid and Undersea Artistry

PROJECT OVERVIEW

On 28th February, Momentum² organised the launch of Valerie Taylor’s two new children’s books, Melody the Mermaid: Adventures in the Kingdoms of the Sea and The Undersea Artistry of Valerie Taylor: A Colouring Book featuring original illustrations by Valerie Taylor.

The launch was held at the Endeavour Pavilion at the Australian National Maritime Museum on Darling Harbour.

Momentum² was engaged to coordinate the launch event and generate media coverage around the launch of the new books.

We coordinated a series of media interviews for Valerie, about the new books, her life and her incredible career from illustrator to pioneer in marine conservation and underwater filmmaking, back to author and illustrator. Notable guests in attendance included Charlie Shuetrim AM, Founding Chair of the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), Chrissie Goldrick, Editor-in-Chief of Australian Geographic and Patrick Medway AM, President of the Australian Wildlife Society.
